He also points out that he has had some very important victories and in a recent interview commented that ‘It’s not like I’ve [only] been winning in states where all they have are black voters or Chablis-drinking limousine liberals’ and having won Virginia and Colorado, Obama has shown that he can be successful in Republican-leaning states.

However it can be hard to change the image which voters have and if the blue-collar voters see Obama in the ‘limousine liberal’ light he has a lot of work to do to show that he understands their needs.
