Limousine Chauffeur Car Jacked

An Austin limousine chauffeur was brutally carjacked and is now fighting for his life in hospital. The Austin police are still waiting for the limousine chauffeur to wake after his surgery.

The chauffeur is 55 year old Alfred Gordon Adams and he was shot during the early hours of the morning and pushed out of his limousine, onto the interstate. The detective on the case has said that Adams was able to call 911 at just before 3 am on the Monday morning, having been shot twice.

Adams was found by the EMS on a frontage road, while his limousine was found around 10 blocks away, in a parking lot. The detectives know very little about who shot this limousine chauffeur, or why they would have stolen his limousine, only to take it for a short joy ride and they are hoping that Adams can tell them more when he regains consciousness. Adams’ last limousine passengers were a couple, a white female and a heavyset male, both who are currently suspects in this shooting, robbery and carjacking.

While limousines represent a large investment for a limousine hire company and they can often be expensive to repair and replace, a limousine is virtually useless to a carjacker. The things which make a limousine luxurious and expensive are not things which a carjacker or thief could easily liquidate.

It is the leather seats, the exclusivity of tinted windows, the spacious ride and the enjoyment of being chauffeur driven which make a limousine coveted and these are not things which can easily be stolen. Perhaps the carjackers realised this down the road and this is why they dumped the limousine shortly after shooting the chauffeur. Hopefully the chauffeur doesn’t have to pay too dearly for the thieves’ lesson.
