When booking a limousine you may need some clarification on the inclusions and extras you are getting, not only so that you know what you will get from your limousine on the day, but also so you understand the cost structure of the limo hire.

Minimum Hire/Booking Time
When booking your limousine it is likely you were told there is a three or four hour minimum booking or hire time for all of the limousines. Generally this is not an issue because most functions require the limousine for at least this much time, if not more. However, there is a minimum booking time in place because three hours is around how long it takes the chauffeur to go over their vehicle before it is ready to leave and the minimum hire time is simply making up for the time spent in the garage.

Red Carpet Package
This package is exactly what it says it is – you will have a red carpet rolled out from your limousine when you arrive at your event or venue. This is usually a package offered with wedding limousines as the red carpet not only looks impressive, it also protects the bride’s dress from dust and dirt on the ground. The red carpet package often also includes a bottle of champagne or other luxurious extras.

Fully Stocked Bar
The meaning of this is often dependant on the type of function the limousine is being hired for. The limousine hire company should go to every effort to ensure the bar is stocked with drinks appropriate for the passengers, but it is always good to ask. It is especially good to ask if the limo hire company you are using generally caters for hen’s nights but you are hiring one of their limos for your daughter’s 5th birthday party.
